Starting a Nonprofit Organization - Spring 2019

Starting your own nonprofit organization? Forming a nonprofit requires more than passion for the mission and populations you're hoping to serve. You’ll need to have an understanding of financial management, legal requirements, managerial skills, trends within the industry, community relations and more. Register for this session to learn the basics and get your nonprofit started on the right foot!

In this workshop you’ll learn about:

  • The basics about various nonprofit entities
  • The different legal structures
  • Required incorporation paperwork 
  • Forming a 501(c)3, L3C, and “B” Corporation as well as the limitations surrounding these entities
  • What you need to know before starting a nonprofit
  • Alternative solutions to starting a nonprofit
